I met a fantastic contemporary photographer today. His name is Xavier Nuez. I saw some of his work at the Brookside Art Fair -- it was very innovative and cutting edge. He takes some amazing photographs of urban decay and produces some staggeringly colorful and vivid imagery. Check it out at his website: www.nuez.com. It was great to talk to him and he was very encouraging, not to mention, he had some great stories to tell about his methods of shooting in some not so safe urban areas after dark.
